Some Victorian bicycles

The forerunner of the bicycle was invented by Baron Karl von Drais in 1817 and you basically run on it. You can see an example here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dandy_horse It was just marvelous :) It makes the bicycles in the photos below look really advanced.
